So Atlanta has a history of having some sort of snow/ice event sometime around the end of January/first of February and this year did not disappoint.  What started out as the potential for snow south of Atlanta turned out to be 3-5 inches across the metro area.  Yesterday, north of the city was on a “warning” for the potential for less than an inch of snow.  Yeah, right.  It took me 6 hours drive about 6 miles only to have to abandon my car and walk the remainder of the way home.  As cold as it was, it was a great opportunity for pictures.  I’d would like to say thanks to the two people who stopped and offered rides and the many many people out and about offering water, snacks, coffee, hot chocolate, etc to the stranded and the walking.  It’s good to see Southern hospitality still exists.
